ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

Promoting physical and mental well-being

The Futsal Stars Foundation is a UK registered charity (number 1194598). It was founded by healthcare professionals after witnessing the damaging effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on young people, as they suffered prolonged periods of isolation and loneliness. Using Futsal and Fitness Education camps and after-school classes we aim to reverse these effects.

We are passionate that all children should have access to sports regardless of ethnic background, gender or financial status. We want to break down the very real gap that exists in today’s society, where not all children do have equal opportunities.

PROMOTING INCLUSIVITY

Treat Others as You’d Like to Be Treated

At the Futsal Stars Foundation, we actively encourage inclusivity regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation. All young people who we work with have a right to feel safe and included whilst keeping fit and enjoying a sport with their peers. We actively encourage teamwork and for young people to come together to achieve a common goal.

HOLIDAY CAMPS AND AFTER-SCHOOL CLASSES

Have Fun with Other Young People

We run a number of camps throughout the year, in East Sussex and London. Futsal is the chosen sport at our camps. It is a fun and fast-paced sport, played in smaller teams compared to football. Therefore, it is said to encourage rapid-decision making skills, improve concentration and cognitive development in general. These are transferable skills that can help young excel in school.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE EDUCATION & HEALTHY FOODS

For Mental and Physical Well-Being

With the help of a number of healthcare professionals, The Foundation has designed a booklet that encompasses all areas we believe to be essential for physical and mental well-being:

- Diet and Nutrition 

- Screen-Time Hygiene

- How to be a Good Friend and Forge Life-Long Friendships

- How to tackle anxiety
